Gambian journalist Mbenga earns EA certificate in football business management

Kifa Barham as he is widely known got the certificate after completing the 6 month program.

Course modules included sports first aid, sports finance, child protection, laws of the game, sports administration, contract negotiation and branding and marketing segmentation.

The course also aimed to equip participants with knowledge and understanding of the sports industry, transfer market, communication and public relations skills in football business management, sports marketing, facilities management , athlete career management and sports organization.

The journalist and football club manager said his goal was to give back to his country and to work effectively with all stakeholders in the sports industry, especially football.

Support the implementation of projects, especially at the local level, organize training in the following professional areas and create room for improvement for the careers of clubs and athletes.

The CEO of Dolphin Stars FC also said that he aims to share the skills learned in order to professionalize our football industry and create the parachute path for athletes to benefit from and participate in the international football arena.

Kifa, who is also a member of Africa Sports Agency (ASA), a group of young potential players in sport on the continent established to support and promote African football around the world by organizing training and development programs for athletes and a network digital media marketing platform, said he plans to register the agency in The Gambia soon.

“I am an agent of change and ready to work with everyone for the benefit of The Gambia,” he said.

Mbenga manages the social media account of popular Gambian international footballer Yusupha Njie, who plays for Boasvista (Portugal).
